Adventure Photography — Keith Utter

Adventure photography brings the photographer to a point where he or she becomes a part of the scenes being photographed. While it may seem to be a hybrid version of travel, wildlife, and landscape photography of which all those skills sets are necessary, it takes the photographer to new limits. Adventure Photography is physically demanding and at times taken to the extreme.  Keith Utter states he finds  it “amazing to be a physical part of what I’m photographing and sharing those experiences with others.”

The program chronicles Utter’s exploits, along with a brief history of adventure photography.  Keith will cover the backstories and discuss the planning, preparation, and equipment necessary for this genre of photography.

Keith Utter is an avid outdoorsman, sportsman and conservationist. He combines his wealth of knowledge of the outdoors with his skills as a landscape and nature photographer.  Keith’s photographic adventures include trips to the highest peaks in Colorado, the glaciers of Iceland, the Galapagos Island, and a climb up Mount Kilimanjaro.
