Greg Basco - Using Flash in Nature Photography

    September 22, 2021 7:00 pm

    Online via WEB Ex

Sparta Camera Club, a group of amateur photographers located in Sparta New Jersey, will host a virtual presentation by noted Wildlife Photographer, Gregory Basco, “Flash for the Nature Photographer”, Wednesday, September 2021 at 7 PM.  Non club members can attend this presentation for a fee by registering on Eventbrite.  A link to Eventbrite will be available on the Sparta Camera Club Website at www.spartacameraclub.org by the end of July.

Greg’s talk will cover the use of flash in Nature Photography.  While many nature photographers think that flash is a crutch for less experienced photographers, Greg will show you how learning to shoot with flash will help you become a better student of natural light.  He will take you through the flash techniques that he uses for bird, wildlife, macro and even landscape photography.  You will learn the basics of flash, when to use manual and TTL flash, and most importantly, how to make flash look natural.

Gregory Basco is a professional nature photographer based in Costa Rica. Greg worked in conservation before turning to photography full-time in 2006. His images have been awarded in the Veolia Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Nature's Best Windland Smith Rice competitions and have appeared in numerous magazines and books around the world. His popular e-books include The Guide to Tropical Nature Photography, Lightroom for the Nature Photographer, and the new comprehensive e-book Flash for the Nature Photographer.
