Christy Graham:  What is a Composite

Wednesday, Nov 20 7:30 PM

Sparta Ambulance Building, 14 Main Street

Photography has been an integral part of Christy’s life since she was just a little girl.   Her father always had a camera in his hand, capturing special family moments and places along the way. Her mother always had a craft in hand-- painting accents on furniture, designing jewelry, and crocheting clothes, blankets and dolls. Christy grew to love the arts and her passion for creativity has become intrinsic to her daily life.  She now teaches high school photography and graphics classes at Sparta High School. Christy loves that she has the opportunity to inspire students to develop their own creative talents and passions, and she enjoys supporting them in their photography aspirations. She has taken her students on photography trips to Italy, Greece, California, and Alaska. She wants her students to capture and experience beauty through a lens of their own.

She now feels extra blessed that photography is the backbone to all she does because she can capture sweet moments with her two children.  Her recent passion has been photography composites and bringing in multiple images to create one storytelling piece of art.

"Life is like a camera, just focus on what's important and capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don't work out, just take another shot." ~unknown

Description: What is a composite?

During this lecture we will go over what a composite is as well as how in photoshop to create one. We will discuss how we can take multiple images to merge together creating a world where fact and fiction meet reality and lets your imaginations tell the story.  Bring old images that you didn't think you had any use for into eye-catching images.
