Frank will discuss the alternative photo processing tools to Lightroom and Photoshop, including full function alternatives, camera branded software, freeware, and plugins.

Clarke Warren, professional photographer and SCC member, will interview several SCC members on their unique skills.  The SCC members are Donald May, Mary Fettes and Geanine Herrara Nasta.  Clarke's interviews of SCC members provide insight into how various photographers approach their work. 

Clarke will interview Donald May on how he edits his photos to be more like Ansel Adams, Mary Fettes on how she gets her excellent editing results and Geanine Herrera Nasta on how to she photographs children.  The interviews will take place on  Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at the Sparta Ambulance Building.  The meeting will start at 7:30 PM.

Nick Palmieri will judge this competition which focuses on Long Exposure Photography. Long exposure photography involves keeping the camera shutter open longer than usual to capture movement in a scene while stationary objects remain sharp through the use of long exposures, neutral density filters and/or polarizers. This technique allows photographers to record the passage of time in a single image, producing effects such as smooth water, streaking clouds, light trails from vehicles or star trails in the light sky. 

Long exposures are also used for night shots where only moon light, artificial light and/or reflected light are present.  

SCC Members may enter up to 4 photos in Photo Contest Pro. The photos must be jpegs that are 1080 on the longest side. They should also be in the sRGB color space.

The competition is open to SCC Members only, however, Non members are welcome to view the competition. The meeting will begin at 7:30 PM.
