SCC’s Camera Night is April  24 at 7:00 PM.  

SCC Members may bring their cameras to learn how to do macro photography.  Macro photography is showcasing a subject larger than it is in real life — an extreme close-up of something small such as an insect blown up to show all the details or a close up of a flower showing the details of the petals and stamens.  Both are examples of macro photography.

Nick is an award winning photographer. He has been judging and lecturing camera clubs since 2009. He is a past president of the Cranford-Millburn Camera Club, and Camera Naturalists Camera Club. He has been awarded the NJFCC citation. Nick is a moderator on the very popular Facebook page, "Photography Help, Tips, Techniques, and Critiques". Nick is interested in many different genres of photography and believes the art of photography should be carefully cultivated based on developments in modern technology while maintaining great respect for its long historical roots.

Todd Nettelhorst, a professional photographer and speaker, became known for his un-posed, un-unplanned spontaneous style of people living their lives.  His work in sales and marketing open up other avenues in commercial photography, events, architecture and products.  

This program focuses on Designing Your Photos.

Learn to design images, not just take them. This presentation enhances your awareness of subjects, taps into your creativity and teaches you to SEE differently. Using the building blocks of visual design: Light, Line, Shape, Texture, and Perspective, along with Four Principles of Picture Organization: Dominance, Balance, Proportion and Pattern, you will learn to create images with a fresh eye. Todd will share images illustrating all the concepts in this informative and fun presentation. Regardless of your knowledge and experience, you’ll be sure to gain a better understanding of how to create the photographs you want.

This program is for SCC Members only.  

We are planning an outing to Milbrook Village in the Delaware Water Gap, New Jersey side for Sunday, April 28, 2024.  We will meet in the parking lot at the village at 10:00 AM.  

Milbrook Village is a collection of restored buildings in a re reated village with old barns, a stream, farm implements and a walking path.

Ellen Stein will judge this club competition on May 8th at 7:30 PM.  The theme is Bells Books Candles.  Members can submit up to 4 photos on Photo Contest Pro prior by May 6, 2024.  The competition will start at 7:30 Pm at the Sparta Ambulance Building.
